Sinister Storm

This is Sinister’s version of a drink said to be invented in the 1940’s during a flight delay due to stormy weather. That drink is know today as an Irish Coffee. Bring your coffee drink game up to a new level with this Sinister’s Storm Recipe. We recommend using dark coffees like Relic(espresso roast) and Deja Vu(coffee blend) for the best Irish Coffee experience. This is an adult beverages intended for those 21 and older; drink responsibly. Kids can enjoy a fun experience as well. Ingredients:

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup Irish whiskey

3/4 cup hot coffee

tsp. brown sugar

freshly grated cinnamon

Utensils:

Mixing bowl

whisk

coffee mug

microplane

measuring cups

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream and whisk until slightly thickened. You can achieve this with a stand mixer if you prefer. Stop whisking before soft peaks form. Cream should still be soft and a little runny. Pour whiskey, coffee and sugar into a heated mug. Heat your mug by pouring really hot water into it and letting it stand a couple of minutes before discarding the water. You can achieve this by boiling water in a sauce pan or teapot. Stir coffee, brown sugar and whiskey until sugar dissolves. Top with whip cream, grate cinnamon on top with a microplane and serve.
