Shadows around us…
It’s the movement you catch out of the corner of your eye. The glancing darkness that seems to shift. When the casted shape moves on its own.
Shadow Figure phenomenon
Shadow figures are a phenomenon recorded all over the world. Similar to The Hat Man, shadow figures offer little more than an ominous presence that leave the person seeing it in utter fear.
This is why when you turn to see what was moving, you find nothing.
The truth is, there are probably a lot more people who experience these entities then realize it. In fact most people have probably experienced something they can’t explain but brush it off as nothing more than their imagination. Seeing something “out of the corner of your eye” is more than just a passing glitch. It is an actual part of your eye that is designed to see things out of your main line-of -sight. That is because the part of your eye that caught that movement is different then your normal field of view.
Person, Ghost or Demon?
So what is a shadow figure? A person? A ghost? A demon? The thing is no one really knows. There are theories that they are entities that can travel among us. That they were never living, therefore not ghosts. Some feel they are parts of people that split off when a person dies. The negative aspects that the person can’t take with them to the afterlife.
Peoples’ Experiences
No matter what a shadow figure is, it creates a sense of fear among those who see them. Stories are often followed with “I was frozen stiff” or “I couldn’t move even though I was trying.” This fear is found to be physical in nature as much as emotional. Is that caused by the figure? Are they able to somehow restrict your movement?
