What is this amazing sounding drink?

Coffee meets Arnold Palmer in this concoction out of Sweden. Other countries in Europe have definitely put their spin on this drink, and now you can too.

Ingredients:

Ice Cubes

3 oz (¾ cups) Cold Coffee

2 oz (¼ cups)  Fresh Lemon Juice

1 oz (2 Tablespoons) Simple Syrup( See notes)

2 oz (¼ cup) Club Soda
or
2 oz (¼ cup) Lemon Hard Seltzer

1 Lemon wedge for garnish

Procedure:

Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Add cold coffee, lemon juice and simple syrup and stir well. Top with club soda or champagne and garnish with a lemon wedge.

Notes:

Simple syrup is made by a 1:1 ratio of sugar to water. So 1 cup of sugar dissolved in 1 cup of boiling water will do the trick for this recipe and leave you some left over for more Kaffelemonad!

For juicing- Put a strainer over a mixing bowl. Roll Lemons between your hand and the counter to help soften the pulp. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze letting the strainer catch the seeds. 1 large lemon will give you approximately 6 oz of lemon juice.

For the coffee-You can use a hot or cold brewing method of your choice. If you use hot brew, let it come to room temperature before you refrigerate. This is a recipe where your choice in coffee roast and brewing method can really shine! Consider checking out our blogs on brewing methods and coffee roast levels for more details!
